Build the order-orchestration engine that handles thousands of cross-border orders daily.
About the role
You will own the order-orchestration service that sits at the heart of our cross-border operations — the system that decides when an order is fulfilled, which marketplace handles it, and how customer service gets notified.
What you’ll do
- Design and ship Go/Node services that orchestrate orders across multiple marketplaces.
- Define service contracts with our operations team and our marketplace integrations.
- Own observability — dashboards, alerting and runbooks for what you ship.
- Mentor 2–3 mid-level engineers; review code thoughtfully.
What you bring
- 5+ years building production backend services.
- Strong SQL, comfortable designing schemas for high-throughput, multi-tenant data.
- Experience with eventual-consistency systems — webhooks, queues, idempotency.
- Clear written communication; you can explain a tradeoff in a paragraph.
Nice to have
- Experience with eCommerce platform APIs (Shopify, Amazon SP-API, Rakuten, etc.).
- Reading or speaking Japanese.
